About the project: Situated on the rural outskirts of San Salvador, this residence allows the owners to entertain a large group of friends and family while maintaining a relaxed, disconnected feel within the lush nature of the site. The layout is split into two wings at different floor elevations. The living public areas, settled in the low half of the site, have a double volume and flexible sitting, dining, cooking and playing spaces. The top half of the site was reserved for the private bedrooms, kids area and media room. The idea was always to maintain a strong connection to the outdoors from every space in the house while dining, lounging or waking up to fully enjoy the tropical Salvadorian weather.
