About the project: The site for this office building was situated along a river in the rural city of Piura, Peru and was to be the biggest building in town. The concept was that of a bird cage perched a top a hill looking at the majestic views down the river. Using the latest sustainable technology, we were able to produce a building whose footprint in mass and in the environment was minimal. Piura houses a cafeteria on the top floor as its most public space, and the entire building sits on two floors of parking lots blended into the design of the exposed façade of the top floors.
