About the project: As an addition to their new south beach campus, Beauty Schools of America, part of BSA, is adding classrooms and administration offices. The stark white walls and floors of the existing photographer’s studio was a starting point for a clean crisp design that gave the classrooms an uninterrupted environment while allowing for gathering areas throughout. The design looks to the school logo for cues on color and geometry.
Our design approach for these new commercial stores, was to blend the latest technology in hair coloring and enhancing the experience of relaxation for the client through the interior architecture. Special attention was taken to the lighting of the spaces, the lighting scenes create a soothing ambiance when in the shampoo area and acute illumination is provided for hair coloring
SOW wanted to represent this successful emerging venture for the Beauty Salons of America with innovation in this contemporary spa. To redefine and maintain the soothing, multi-sensory experience of beautification was the main goal in the design process. Wishing our friends at BSA lots of success.
